Quilt the Swamp is an annual fiber art show, curated by Michael Young, that is presented at the Bluebonnet Swamp in Baton Rouge each January/February since 2002. Things may be brown and dreary in the swamp, but not in the exhibits building! This year's theme, Retrospective, includes work from past shows, and a new piece from each artist represented. Here are some overview shots of the exhibit. Photos courtesy of John Hartgerink.
The purpose of Contemporary Fiber Artists of Louisiana is to encourage its membership as artists, as well as educate others about contemporary fiber arts. Our goal is to promote contemporary works, explore creative influences and develop a network of professional venues.
